About us
I landed in Ireland with a suitcase that squeaked like an old shopping trolley and the naive belief that September meant gentle autumn breezes. Ha. The wind nearly pushed me sideways as I walked out of Dublin Airport, like some invisible uncle shoving me for a laugh. But that’s the charm: Ireland doesn’t promise you sunshine—it promises you stories.
That’s how this all began. A suitcase, a stubborn gust of wind, and a stubborn love for this island. From that first sideways stumble, I started exploring every crooked lane, stone wall, and windswept coast, collecting the kind of moments you can’t plan for: the ones that make you laugh, swear, and fall in love with a place all at once.
Holiday homes here are something else. I rented one in Connemara once, a crooked little cottage with a roof that looked like it wanted to fall into the Atlantic but somehow hadn’t. The host, Mary, insisted the key didn’t always work unless you “gave the lock a bit of a sweet talk.” So there I was, mumbling sweet nothings to a rusty keyhole, feeling utterly mad, until click—it worked. That’s Ireland for you: part fairytale, part practical joke.
And that’s what this site is about: helping you find those cottages, cabins, and hideaways that aren’t just places to stay—they’re part of the story. Whether you’re dreaming of turf fires in winter, sea-salted breezes in summer, or just a roof that may or may not listen to reason, we’re here to point you in the right direction.
Because here, a holiday home isn’t just four walls—it’s a character in your adventure.
