RIVER RUN LODGE is a 4**** guesthouse owned and managed by Anne and Tom Little and built on the site of their original riverside cottage. Originally from Dublin they came to Oughterard in 1990 having fallen in love with the area from their regular visits. They owned and managed The Boat Inn in Oughterard for seven Years.

The guesthouse is ideally located in a quiet setting on the Owenriff River which flows through the village of Oughterard into Lough Corrib. It is no more than a five-minute stroll to the local restaurants, pubs and shops, yet you feel right in the heart of the countryside. With cosy lounges and a restaurant seating up to thirty people, the guesthouse has been finished to a high standard. The bedrooms have separate dressing areas and bathroom facilities and have been designed to provide a level of spaciousness and comfort that will satisfy the most fastidious traveller. Each room is equipped with multi-channel TV, radios, tea-makers and mini-bars

Anne is an accomplished cook with many years of experience and she has earned a reputation for an exciting range of seafood and meat specialities. It has a special ambiance and an inspired menu that they know you will enjoy.

Oughterard is blessed with its own parklands, challenging 18 hole Golf course and modern clubhouse. There are no less than 5 courses within a 45-minute drive from the village. They include the world famous Ballyconneely links, and beautiful Westport.

The Hotel is close to Lough Corrib, which is renowned for the quality of its wild brown trout. The Lough has the envious but delicate reputation of being Europe's finest fresh water amenity for game angling. Boats, boatmen and equipment can be hired for the day.
