Castle Cottage is a newly renovated old-style town cottage which is comfortably furnished and is in a secure and quiet location on the edge of the western edge of the village of Tyrellspass.
The warm and cosy living room has a colour TV and a turf stove which also provides the central heating. The turf is provided. Oil-fired central heating has recently been added. There is a weekly fuel charge of � 10
The Kitchen / dining room is fully equipped with a new electric cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave oven. In the bathroom there is a bath with shower, wash basin and WC. Each of the two bedrooms has a washbasin. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has a single bed plus two bunk beds. An extra fold-up bed and / or child's cot is also available on request. Electricity is paid for according to meter readings.

Local Attractions: Tyrellspass is a beautiful Georgian village with a castle,green and inn. The castle, which overlooks the cottage, has a folklore museum, licensed restaurant; snack-bar and banquets There are a good range of local shopping facilities in the village. The county of Westmeath is noted for it's mediaeval remains, monuments and castles as well as the richness of it's rivers for the visiting angler. The Whiskey museum at Locke's Distillery, Kilbeggan, is well worth a visit and is open all the year round. There are 4 major Golf courses within 25 km and Horse-riding is also available nearby.
