A beautifully restored two storey house in a tranquil setting overlooking Annaghard Lake, and situated amid one of the best examples of drumlin landscape in Europe. The house is situated in the central midlands and is an ideal base from which to plan an exciting family holiday. One and half hours drive from both Belfast and Dublin. For the angler, there are a large number of rivers and lakes. 365 lakes in County Cavan and 40 lakes within a 10 mile radius, stocked with a great variety of fish, including pike, perch, trout, bream, rudd, roach, trench, hybrids and eels. Bait is available locally if required.

Activities. Within easy reach of the town, swimming, tennis, pitch and putt, golf, horseriding, gymnastics, and shooting facilities. Cycling and walking tours enable you to enjoy the many places of historical interest including water powered grain mills, monuments, churches, Polthy Mass Rock, and Cohaw Court Cairn, dating back to 4000 B.C. A visit to Maudabawn Chapel with its grotto and restored mill wheel is not to be missed. Drumgoon burial ground, which is still in use, dates back to 650 B.C. The area offers children the opportunity of exploring a safe and unspoilt environment with a great variety of local wildlife. Forest parks are within easy reach. Less than one hour's drive away one can cruise the Shannon Erne Wayterways, visit Enniskillen Castle and the Marble Arch Caves, The Ulster American Folk Park, at Omagh, the Planetarium at Newgrange, county Meath, Cabra Castle, Kingscourt and Dun a Ri Forest park.. Clonmacnoise, a monastic settlement with its round tower founded in 545 AD and St Killians Heritage Centre in Mullagh, are examples of what can be seen. Excellent shopping facilities are within easy reach including Cavan Crystal and Balleeek Pottery factories.

Bed linen and towels supplied free.
