Lough Muck Farm Cottage, set in four green acres, overlooks the lough which gives it it's name. Glistening in the sun it will tempt you to picnic on it's shores or to fish or canoe in it's waters. If you prefer to cycle to fetch freshly laid eggs from the friendly local shop, there are a couple of bikes in the shed. To walk in some of the most idyllic green mountains just put your boots on and go out of the front door...Visitors are welcomed by the housekeeper with a glass of Irish Whiskey and a roaring turf fire!
The Accommodation. It is a traditional farm cottage which can sleep up to 8 people in three separate bedrooms. There is a Sitting room which has an open fire and comfy sofas, and a stable door leading to the outside. The kitchen / dining room has a large farm-house table, chairs, pine dresser telephone and Aga. The adjoining fully equipped scullery has gas cooker, work surfaces, cupboards and sink, The blue bathroom has bath/shower, W.C. and basin, the green one, shower, W.C. and basin. Upstairs one of the bedrooms has a double bed and a single bed with open fireplace and the other has two doubles and a single bed. A hall with numerous coat hooks takes you outside to the porch / boot room and the wooden table, bench, chairs and sunshine! The heating is electric (storage radiators) in addition to the peat-fired Aga and the open fires.

Some of the finest beaches and surf, sailing and pony trekking are just a stone's-throw away. If your taste is music, turf fires and Guinness, Donegal, only a short drive, is the home of Clannad, Enya and Altan.
