Delphi Lodge is a beautiful 12-bedroom country house overlooking a pretty lake set in the middle of Mayo's highest mountains (despite the Galway postal address), on the northern edge of Connemara, is the in the heart of the Delphi Estate. The former sporting estate of the Marquis of Sligo, the house gives the atmosphere of a private houseparty from a bygone era and has been elegantly restored in recent years and opened up to those in search of somewhere really special to relax. On wet West of Ireland days, the panelled billiard room, an eclectic library and roaring log fires may help pass the time until dinner, which is taken at a huge oak table presided over by the captor of the day's largest salmon. Delphi Lodge is a member of 'The Hidden Ireland'. All rooms have private bathrooms.
It is an ideal base for salmon fishing (Delphi Fishery), hill walking and touring the sights of Connemara and Mayo.
The Lodge is open all year except Christmas & New Year.
